Tokunbo Akindele joined Oando Exploration & Production in 2009 as Senior Upstream Venture Analyst. In the same year he was appointed Executive Assistant to the Group Chief Executive. In 2011 he was promoted to Head of Investor Relations for the group.

He started his career in the planning division of Chevron Nigeria. A short period in the financial sector of NAL Bank’s Oil and Gas division was followed by roles in financial advisory services for both Vetiva Capital Management and Chapel Hill Advisory Partners. He returned to the oil and gas industry as an Economic Analyst for Niger Delta Exploration & Production before joining Oando.
