Solomon Agba is appointed GM, District Management, Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited. He is a consummate professional with over 27 years of varied experience and competencies in the oil & gas industry across production and drilling logistics, shore base management and operation, gas business, commercial negotiation and contract management, crude Lifting operation, and asset management.
Before his appointment Solomon was Head, Commercial Operations & Asset Manager for the NAOC JV. He previously led the Commercial function for ConocoPhillips in West Africa before their exit in 2014 and was awarded the Spirit of Performance Award for Commercial Excellence in 2011, the highest individual award by the organization worldwide.
Solomon is a critical and systems thinker with strong problem-solving abilities. Commercially and strategically proven, he is reliable and has a demonstrated track record of successful negotiations and management of high-net-worth agreements.
He is an Electrical/Electronics Engineer, and holds an MBA with specialization in Sustainability from Nexford University; MBA in Management from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, PGDID Emeritus Scholar in Design Thinking & Innovation from the Emeritus Institute of Management in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Columbia Business School & Tuck Business School. Solomon is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) of Nigeria, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), from the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria, and a Certified Management Specialist (CMS), from the London Graduate School; Member, Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN); Associate Member Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (CIArb). He also served as a member of the Technical Working Group (Oil & Gas Thematic Work Group) that produced the Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP) and Agenda 2050 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
