Lawrence Osakwe

Lawrence Osakwe is a seasoned oil and gas professional with over 30 years of cognate industry experience spanning Well Area, Production and Terminal Management, Safety, Asset Management, Operations and Engineering. Known for his integrity, adherence to guidelines, and solution-driven approach, he has successfully led multiple departments and divisions, ensuring optimal performance and significant cost savings through innovative strategies.

Until his recent appointment as GM, Project Development & Infrastructure, he was the Engineering Division Manager where he oversaw engineering activities ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures. He has also managed key operations for cost efficiency, such as saving over $6M by halting unnecessary crude oil loading missions, in addition to safety initiatives and critical projects. 

He has demonstrated strong leadership skills and is an advocate for people and performance in equal measure, consistently pushing his teams towards excellence. 

Lawrence holds a master’s in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, another master’s degree in Industrial Physics from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Physics from the University of Technology, Enugu.  His scholarly pursuit extends to serving as a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Petroleum and Energy Studies. He is also a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers.
