GM, Governance, Risk and Compliance 

Damola Dawodu is General Manager, Governance, Risk and Compliance at Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited (OERNL).

She leads corporate governance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and corporate secretarial services, and advises the Board and executive management on governance and integrity standards.

Damola joined the Oando Group in 2006 and has held senior roles including Group Head, Governance and Compliance at Oando Plc. She has led governance and compliance workstreams across major transactions, supporting regulatory approvals and execution, including the US$783 million acquisition of the Nigerian subsidiary of Eni, Oando’s US$461 million downstream divestment, and the US$1.8 billion acquisition of ConocoPhillips’ Nigerian assets.

She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003 and holds degrees from the University of Wolverhampton and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
